October 14: Members School House
Join us for our annual “Members School House”. We’ll have demonstrations on Hawaiian quilting; the fast, fun Jelly Roll Race quilt; and more. “School House” always proves to be an interesting and informative meeting along with our monthly sharing and regular activities.
November 11 and 12: Mickey Depre
Mickey’s quilts have been described as whirlwinds of color, with oranges, residing next to purples of all shades in harmony. Dots, swirls, and stripes intermingle with florals and prints in an outlandish yet exciting visual parade.
Her work mixes traditional quilting techniques with bold, innovative machine applique and thread work. Fabric choices include her own hand dyed cotton with commercial cottons for a special spark of color and depth.
At the Sunday workshop, Mickey will be teaching her Summer Carnival quilt, one in her half-scrap quilt series. The workshop includes a pattern for a table runner. This is a perfect opportunity to dive into your stash. The workshop will be open to non-members after September, so register now!
