Village Quilters strives to encourage quilt making, provide classes in specific techniques and patterns, support community charities and provide a social structure allowing quilt lovers to share ideas and friendship.

We are quilters at all levels of experience who love to get together and learn more about our craft. Our monthly meetings often feature guest speakers, and we also show off our current projects, find out about upcoming quilting events and learn how to contribute to our philanthropic projects and fund-raising bazaar. Members can pick up a block-of-the-month packet for a small fee to learn a new block, borrow from our guild’s library of quilting books and take a chance on winning some new fabrics through the fabric exchange.

Our meetings are the second Saturday of the month September through June from 10 a.m. to noon at the Scripps Miramar Ranch Branch Library, 10301 Scripps Lake Drive, San Diego CA 92131-1258.

We highly encourage people interested in quilting to visit our meetings; they are free to the public but we encourage a $5 donation to help cover our costs for speakers.

Guests are also welcome at our informal Sit and Sews the second Saturday of July and August at the library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring a project of your own or pick up a kit for one of our charitable projects. There’s no fee for these summer gatherings.

Village Quilters Guild is a 501(c)3 organization.
